On 9/26/20 I dined at Mimi's in Ocala, fl as I do frequently. Usually the food is excellent - especially the salmon. However yesterday the salmon appeared to have previously been frozen and was dry. My wife also had the salmon and agreed that it was not nearly as good as usual. On the plus side, our wairess, Kim, was excellent.

Mimi's used to be a lovely restaurant offering many delicious soups, lots of bread, etc. Even before Bob Evans took it over they went to only 3 soups to discourage people from ordering soup & salad and eating their bread. It has consistently gone down year after year for the last ten or so.

We loved the Christmas family meal. But, Easter, we were not happy with. We did the turkey-sliced instead of ham. The turkey was cheap. I went to Walmart and got better sliced turkey.

Mimis Cafe is our favorite place to go to eat. We like the people who greet us, especially, Lyle, who always greeted us for breakfast. I always look for a coupon and we take advantage of them as often as we can afford to go out to eat! I really like the date bread loaf, fried shrimp and the special dinners for Christmas and Thanksgiving. We have ordered the complete meal for Christmas last year and it was just as good as I would have made at home! I was super impressed!
